Should students be allowed to play more than one sport a year?

BronzeBeast101
J2J3

Students should be able to play more than one sport. According to Dr. David Geier, "Any sport involves repetitive motions. Over time, those motions cause stress that can build up and cause overuse injuries.By allowing a kid to play different sports, stress is limited to one region of the body for a few months. The next sport then works other body parts." That's why kids should be able to play more than one sport. Ya YEET...

Marching band is a sport.

shadowpuppy
2019browntyler

I think marching band is a sport because it is a physical activity and by the dictionary, a sport is "an athletic activity requiring skill or physical prowess and often of a competitive nature" and that is exactly what it is. What do you guys think...

SarahMarten1983
Blahwheel

Hi, I am wanting opinions from people living in America on if they prefer Rugby or American football. It is for an assignment in response to CNN quote " US Rugby on the Rise-Should the NFL be worried'? If you can specifically state if you prefer one over the other and your reason or if you think they are equal....

Ballet is harder than football

Balletishard
MEMERDANK

First off, Ballet is extremely hard, we ballet dancers (not ballerinas because ballerinas are Principle dancers) do not "prance" around across the floor. We work hard, we have to think about pulling up our legs, knees, thighs, necks, backs, and stomachs. We have to pay attention to where were looking, the positions of our heads, the softness and delicacy of our fingers as well as dancing, the counts, patterns, the music, pointing your feet (which hurts really badly) and SO much more. People just...

Participation Trophies

Amphia

I really dislike participation trophies. They make kids think that they can be rewarded for doing little to nothing at all. They make children think that there are rewards for not doing your best. People argue that they make the kids feel good but I'd beg to differ. For one, as a child when my team I received participation awards, we felt disappointed. It was like a consolation gift. Needless to say, they always ended up in the trash. And two, they destroy incentive to work hard. If I p...

Participation trophies

erinm
axygon

Young athletes should not get participation trophies. Because they are not meeting their original purpose, these young athletes should not be awarded for simply participating, and losing is a more important lesson than winning. Some may say that participation trophies are good for kids because then everyone can be a winner. Others argue, that participation trophies are doing that because the lesson of losing can be more important to learn at that age so that they get it in their little heads tha...

Should high school students be punished for being sick and have to sit out of their next game?

Kurtis01
Sean.McHale

I don't think the kid should be punished because they are sick. It's not their fault that they get sick. I personally hate this because it has happened to me before and I missed an important game. I don't want any other kid having to go through what I had to go through....
