1-0-1 maybe?

Sonofcharl
screenjack

Based on a theoretical assumption that reduction can be ultimate rather than remain infinite. 1-0-1 or something-nothing-something. Suggests an alternating left to right/ right to left flow of matter. Resulting in a scenario that allows for infinitely uninhibited imagination....

Defining yourself is a barrier to variety.

EzDuel
oalks

I think the act of defining yourself and sticking to it is a rigid act. If stuck in a box, Outside influences will have little effect on subconscious dissolution of your rigidity. People have preference to what they hold because it gives them security. A person's possessions define them. Giving definition to yourself is solidity in scope of action. Less action and less variety. Self definition is not analysis of the world based on meanings. Self definition impedes on learning conscious varie...

Is Science Adequate As A Firm Foundation For Belief?

melcharaz
WrickItRalph

I put this in philosophy section to debate the concept of relying on a system. I hold the position that science is not adequate to base information upon. My reasoning in this is that it is a man made form of acquiring and spreading knowledge that is based solely on mankind's interaction with this world and space and other things beyond it. I believe that we are insufficient to observe everything in an objective manner and that the subjection's of our observations make science an unstable belief...

The Only Way for Mankind to Survive is to Reset Itself

Nibiru
WrickItRalph

When I say humanity must reset itself, I mean that, Despite how much of a hypothetical it is, Is to revert its knowledge of technology back to the stone age. The basis for my argument is the inevitable technological singularity. I'd like to spend the bulk of the debate on how this event will spell doom for humanity, And how we must avoid it at all costs. Do not concern yourself with how impossible it would be to reset itself; only debate why it should not happen....

Is Circumcision Moral?

WrickItRalph
oalks

I'll just state my position. I believe that circumcision is both unnecessary and absolutely harmful to newborns. These will be my key points. Go ahead an state your position and add any sources or supporting details that you like. I don't necessarily need citations for any stats you give. But if you're not sure, Then try to avoid using numbers and make them as complete as possible. These aren't rules, Just suggestions for a good debate ;) Your floor...
