Is Faith Blind?

ChristianApologia
zapshe

I want to clarify what the Bible says or defines faith. The Greek word for "faith" is "pistis". Which it is used in the Bible to mean loyalty or assurance in something. It is very similar to the idea of being loyal or having trust in something or someone. Faith isn't the absence of evidence it is what results from evidence. The words faith, Belief, And trust are all similar to one another. This definition is also supported in ancient Greek works. Aristotle, (Eudemian 7. 1237b) and Aristotl...

I"ll let my opponent try to explain to me why the infinity God of Christianity isn"t the only explanation of the universe first....

It's impossible to be right outside of the moment.

Dreamweaver2828

We're all relatively perfect in the moment, But once our correct decision is converted into a tangible memory it's impossible to be right about anything. All memories are subject to duality because different people can approach anything inversely, Depending on context. For example, You might put out 1+1=2, And you'd be correct in the light of your context. However a programmer might be thinking in binary in which 1+1=10. Or with strings the answer is 11. Or how much is 1 lollipop plus 1 kang...

Free Will Does Not Exist

Godless9383

Agreed upon definition of free will: The ability of people to exercise the sense of control over their actions necessary to be praiseworthy and blameworthy for their actions. 1)Every event including our actions is either caused or uncaused 2)Free Will is incompatible with both a caused or uncaused action 3)Free Will is incompatible with all of our actions Every event is either determined (caused) or random (uncaused) There is no third option. There may be factors that make an event more...

There will never be an objective moral.

Vesalas

What I am arguing is that people will never come up with an objective moral(including the morals already come up with) and everything is subjective. The reason why I say this is because every single law is based on emotions(for example, Rape, Murder, Stealing) which is subjective, While being objective is the opposite. I haven't put much detail into it because I prefer to see what the other person says....

Why do people believe in the christian god of the bible that has never been proved?

backwardseden
Wolverine2001

Why do people believe in the christian god of the bible that has never been proved in the first place? Is it because people have low self esteem and they believe that believing in this god will help themselves lift their spirits? Probably. Is it because people have not read their bible's and they have no idea whatsoever as to what is stated in it? Probably. Is it because people fear what they don't understand? Probably. Is it because people are stupid and believe in nothing? Probably. Is it be...

The extinction of the Dodo bird was is not something to be held against humans as something bad.

knowledgeablePenguin

(Waning, I do not fully agree on this topic, But wished to debate it anyways) The extinction of the Dodo bird was a completely natural thing to happen, As their extinction was caused by them not being able to defend themselves against an invasive species that had better tools and physical power than them, And were slain because of their lack of defence mechanisms. It was the process of natural selection, And should not be held against humans who just did what they needed so they may have easi...
