Pro This one is self explanatory. (I will explain once accepted) Definition of Rape Culture: The idea of a society or patriarchal society where rape is either encourage or tolerated. Blaming the culture at large and saying it supports rape is ridiculous. You can say we have a problem in that females can't always prove they were raped to satisfactory levels. You can say we ought to try and find solutions to this. You aren't presenting any solutions yourself by calling this problem 'rape culture. ' Words have meanings. You are accusing everyone in society for "protecting rapists" when they do not. They protect people who are potentially falsely accused. We have "shadow of a doubt" principles in place because sending 1 innocent to jail is considered worse than letting 1 criminal walk free.

You can point out these things as a problem, But throwing accusations around whilst not suggesting any viable solutions is useless and misguided.

The proposition of "rape culture" is no more than an argument over semantics. The wider the scope of feminist influence becomes in the lexicon of sexual violence, The less nuance the understanding of rape becomes. Feminists have often tried to objectivize that which constitutes rape in almost comical fashion (e. G. "Yes means Yes Law. ") Rape, For all intents and purposes, Is subjective. Interaction between individuals is a composite of complex and nuance signals, Cues, Mores, Folkways, And senses of personal space. To argue that there's a prevailing "culture" of encouraging sexually pathological behaviors not only lacks substantial information but also is quite absurd.

Just google "how many percent of rapists get caught"
Plenty of information and statistics, And all of them claim that majority of rape cases never get reported.

Statistics say so. I guess they questioned people on the street or in some research and questioned whether they were raped, And if they reported the rape or not.
