I have come to argue that the whole Ross/Rachel relationship did not make sense, Forced, Toxic, Etc. Anybody disagree?
While I do believe that the relationship was forced, It did an excellent job of pushing the story forward. It created the opportunity for variety of good jokes and story lines, And honestly, I really enjoyed their relationship. |

Through the first time I watched the show, I was rooting for them in the first 2 seasons. But as the show went on, It got really annoying and dull in their on-again-off-again relationship. As I watched the show a 3rd and 4th time, I realized that they didn't go together in my opinion. They actually brought out the worst in each. Both are possessive and jealous in their own way. They could barely communicate their feeling for each other. Ross always talks down to Rachel. I always remember the list Ross made of Rachel's pros and cons. He said she was "spoiled", "ditsy", And the worst of all "just a waitress". Then brings me the question, Why are they in love? Another problem I have with them is that they are too dramatic. That is one of the reasons I don't like the final 2 episodes of the whole series.
