In sci-fi they always have space coliseums and stuff where the people fight each other to the death. This means writers subconsciously acknowledge that murder is a high-intelligence form of entertainment. So personally I think we should start death games for fun but probably just voluntary ones for now at least.

No, I don't think we should.

"in sci-fi they always have space coliseums and stuff where the people fight each other to the death. "
In which one?

"This means writers subconsciously acknowledge that murder is a high-intelligence form of entertainment. "
Colosseum fighting is too old for us. You don't see bill gates go to a round arena to watch 2 man fighting.

"So personally I think we should start death games for fun but probably just voluntary ones for now at least. "
Strong people want to live, Only weak people want to die. Other than population control(which is unjust to some people this way). So if voluntary, Then none of them will be good consider their goal is to die, Not to live if voluntary. If then no one will volunteer. And if there are forced people fighting, Then it is unjust to them.

To start, There are enough examples in popular media that depict it to consider 'new age coliseums' a common trope: Superhero media such as Thor Ragnarok and the comics about Mongul's Warworld both depict futuristic coliseums. The tv show Archer shows a space coliseum type deal in their newest season and Mobile Fighter G Gundam also depicts a sort of coliseum deal in the space age.

As well, Plenty of post-apocalyptic stories tend to showcase death games like Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome, The Hunger Games and to a lesser extent Danganronpa. And, Though they may come off as crude to the protagonist/viewers of said media many characters are often depicted enjoying the death game entertainment. Thus leading to my point with the subconscious belief that coliseum ordeals can be entertaining to the average individual. This, Despite the characters having the knowledge that a person today might have.

"Colosseum fighting is too old for us. You don't see bill gates go to a round arena to watch 2 man fighting. "
Coliseums fighting is not nearly as old a form of entertainment as the Olympic Games. The ancient Olympic games began in 776 BC whilst the inaugural games at the Roman Colosseum date only back to about 80 BC. If watching top athletes compete to see who is the most fit in particular sports can still be entertaining why can't coliseum fights?

Also, Of course we don't see Bill Gates or any famous individual for that nature set up such events as the tremendous social stigma against such a thing would harm their reputation greatly. Though I'm sure plenty of intelligent figures in the modern day would not have a strong moral disdain towards such an event being held properly.

The last part was my fault for not going in-depth of what I believe we can do to make a system for death games to exist. I believe that if some sort of grand fantastical award were to be given for good results in a game which risks one's life there are many people who would be willing to attempt it. As well, Just as the modern Olympic Games are changed in many ways to fit modern culture (the participants are no longer obliged to be naked, There are games for women, Some sports are cut out/added) modern day coliseum fights can be very different. Perhaps one which tests your wits and people-skills would be more accustomed to us.

Thus, I believe that games that have people risk their lives are a way of entertainment that can be enjoyed by the mass public AND the people playing them.

Nothing else, People dying to live AS A FORM OF ENTERTAINMENT? Olympics are good because the world does it, Eg. Volleyball, Badminton. . . The only reason this should be good is that if we are all dying to die. Also, Why are they even in there? Do they get paid, Or do they just go there to die?

And then the hospital will be overwhelmed, Causing too much spending, And making the economy collapse because there are less work force.

Competitors die after the battle, So you don't have anyone winning more than 1 times unless heavy surgery is performed. With this logic, Sure, Not everyone will die, But most strong men will be in hospital.

Olympics help us live, And colosseum make us dead. That is the difference.
