Why do people believe in the christian god of the bible that has never been proved in the first place? Is it because people have low self esteem and they believe that believing in this god will help themselves lift their spirits? Probably. Is it because people have not read their bible's and they have no idea whatsoever as to what is stated in it? Probably. Is it because people fear what they don't understand? Probably. Is it because people are stupid and believe in nothing? Probably. Is it because people are amazingly naive and or are phenomenally gullible and will believe in anything and are easily told and or tricked? Probably. There are many "or else" reasons why people believe in the christian so-called god of the bible. But are any of them reasonable? Considering the fact that nobody has proven this so-called god to be real, None of the reasons for believing can be proven as being truthful.
So prove the christian god to be in existence. dsjpk5 is disqualified from the voting procedures as he tries to pretend he's god and thus change the voting structure of who wins and loses here on DDO.
My argument won't be to prove Christianity, As I am not even Christian. My argument will explain why people believe in the bible. People believe in the bible, Because they want to. They want answers for all the questions we as humans naturally have and there's a book right there explaining it all. Sure you can argue there's other religious texts, Why not follow those? It's simply because either they never read them, Or they didn't resonate with them. It's very normal to want to know why are we here? We honestly barely have any science to show why exactly we're here, Or what is beyond us. It's more comforting to think we have an all powerful being on our side who loved us enough to sacrifice his own son to make sure we were forgiven for sins. How much more comforting is it to be able to talk to this being, Rather than think nothing has a purpose and nobody can help us? When something bad happens to us it's easier to be like G-d did that for a reason, Or use religion as a reason. If you are a good person and follow the rules you get to go to a magical place where you're eternally happy. We have no answers. None of us. All we have is what we believe. Christianity is I would say is nice in the sense that okay you're born a sinner but G-d forgives you! Just try to stick to the bible. Some people believe they had interactions with Jesus. You do not have to see something to believe in something. Can you see gravity? Yes gravity is keeping us from floating away but how do we know if that's really true? Keep in mind our senses are in fact limited. We cannot see or hear everything that exists? Some of these things haven't been proven to us either. People had theories and beliefs before that were later proven true. People have encounters with paranormal activity, They say, But where is the proof? If you accept something as true without seeing proof that doesn't make you stupid. There could be a million reasons why you feel that way. |

I'm not going to go on a tangent of how fragile your knowledge is or how you just don't like being challenged by sensible people. I will say you are going to keep losing and forfeiting if you keep being such a child.
You got a response, You gave up
You made a claim and couldn't back it up
So I am going to take a vote
a) We grew up with it (common)
b) we found meaning in it (semi-common)
c) theism has value in our lives (common)
d) religion has more to offer than just belief (I and theologians)
You also seem to lack horrid interpretation and are very skilled in ignorance.
