"The Founders" views on immigration were simple: government exists for the protection of its own citizens and their interests. Immigration can be good or ill depending on circumstance; however, when immigrants arrive en masse, they are unlikely to adapt to our principles and will consequently fracture society. They will carry with them the political principles of the place they came from, and no magic wand can wipe away the thousands of years of political and cultural traditions steeped in their being.

Kristol, obviously, disagrees and sadly he is not alone in his disdain for the GOP voter base. Kevin Williamson, writing for America"s Pravda, (otherwise known as National Review) penned a totally unoriginal piece titled The Father F"rher (who needs enemies with "friends" like these?). He argues that the poor white communities who carried Trump through the primaries and to the White House likely had no stable father figure in their lives, are "morally indefensible," and "deserve to die." Even Aristotle"s account of a tyrant"which he defines as a self-interested ruler"seems benign (benevolent, even!) when compared to a pundit class calling for the death and replacement of a country"s own people."

You can't point to Jefferson or Lincoln or The Ways and Manner of Old, And say "real". . . Because all any adherent or opponent cares about is Now Now Now. What's the upgrade, Corporate Kenneth? It's something shoepolish of moustache, In that it's founded firmly on the romantic nationalism of The Volk. Americanizing 'that', Isn't based in mathematics of bonfire protests, Re: campaign finance reform. It's based in pointing at the problem and wishing it gone--from sight, From knowledge of, From existence.

There is only tribe, Only Us and Them. I'm certain the Democratic-Republicans and those who rose from ashes of the Whigs, And Garfield and McKinley as they lay dying, Would have sung a different song. WE'RE HERE. More's the pity, But a "real Republican" is he who wears the current team uniform. "WE THE PEOPLE", Is inclusive of only that which does not threaten. You can be high-minded, Or you can destroy The Enemy. The former--your way--is a tad too masturbatory, By me.
