"The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing. " R13; Edmund Burke | Open Culture" Harikari
Taken from the topic "Because We Have Evil We Have Religion"

Very aptly quoted indeed. And it is good men like you who expose the sheer evil displayed by others in this forum.

Edmund Burke also declared "Nothing is so fatal to religion as indifference. "
I think that, Given the era when religion was strong and had a stranglehold over the masses, Burke would have issued his words of wisdom as a warning.

Wasn't he right? Look at how corrupt, Irrelevant and bigotted religion has become and one can understand why Churches are closing down and followers are deserting in droves.

DDO has raised the burden of proof where opinions are just opinions. But self confessions rule the day. Hard to argue with ones own words.

Even Jesus struggled to deal with his own lies and switched to speaking in parables. But scriptures tell us jesus was crucified for what he said and not for his incoherent parables.
