It's not inappropriate. I don't see anything wrong with showing midriff, It wouldn't cause distraction. It's not too distracting, Many croptops will show midriff without showing any chest making it an appropriate clothing item since it doesn't show too much. At my school girls are allowed to wear things like this and I never see anyone crowding a girl wearing this and making her uncomfortable. They may admire her outfit but not in a way that makes anyone uncomfortable. And if they did get distracted by it then that's their fault, Not the girls. They should be allowed to wear whatever they want if it's not inappropriate, Let them express themselves!
The internet can and should replace schools. Schools today honestly suck. They don't teach skills that will actually help them in adulthood despite that being their exact goal! It would take up less time throughout the day allowing more chances to be yourself, Socialize, Get a job, Etc. You would have more time to be with your family if that's what you want to do. Students could learn at their own pace whether that be fast or slow. You could have more access to information that would actually be useful to you.
We can be mature and responsible. Lots of teens have made amazing changes. A girl wanted to change something so she applied to get on the board and got in, She was obviously the youngest there since I believe she was either in or just out of high school. She mad a positive change. Not every young person watches Logan Paul or Kylie Jenner content and even if they do I have noticed they tend to just make fun of them really. Give them responsibility and power and they will make a good choice, They just need the chance. Besides, I know plenty of people who are very young yet they make better choices than some adults. We need a voice at the very least.
Yes they should Students have to get up so early in the morning which is very difficult. A teen need to be able to sleep but the brain does not start making melatonin until about 10 or 11 pm then they have to be up by say 6-8 am which isn't enough sleep. They need more time to be able to rest. I would suggest pushing school start times back but I guess this is the next best thing.
When in high school you already know the basics. By the time you get into high school you already know the basics which were learned in middle school. A lot of the classes in high school just wastes time and energy. A study showed that students forget 90% of what they are taught in just 3 days. Students that know what they want should be able to pick their classes. If they don't know what they want then they can be required to take all of the classes except the ones they know they won't like/want/need. The only mandatory class in high school should be a life skills class.
A sudbury school is a place where the students choose the classes they want and where they have the same amount of power as a staff member. They might go to school there while they are in Elementary school and they graduate and get good jobs. Just like colleges are willing to work with homeschool students, It's the same with a sudbury student. I personally prefer the sudbury model over the public/traditional schools.
Never in an infinity amount of years It's hot in the summer and students would like to have a break from school, Have a life, Enjoy the time off that they have. There will obviously be some kids that choose to learn even in the summer and practice things they 'learned' in the school year but those don't should not be forced to. Of course the students will forget most to possibly everything they 'learn' in the school year but that's not new information. A month being added won't change it as students forget 90% of what they 'learn' within 3 days. It won't matter at the point as they will still forget what they supposedly 'learned' meaning memorized to throw it up on a test and later forget.
I say yes I think the act of pinning another person down is abusive because they might not like it. That action could also scare them and cause pain on the part of their body that is being held down. I also think that it would cause emotional pain more often than not because they could be scared of your doing more harm to them after that action is taken or if they do it again and it goes farther.
Let them sit where they choose. Students already have assigned seating in a classroom, Why should that be the same in lunch? It might actually be less loud since they wouldn't have to shout for their friend to hear them. Lunch is a break from school, They should have a chance to sit with their friends at least during that time at school.
Students need more time to themselves. Students already go to school for so long and having Wednesday off would make the week feel like it's not as long. They would possibly be able to hang out with their family and they would get a chance to be with other friends. And those with passions would also have more time to focus on that passion instead of work they will never use as an adult. Some students can also focus better at home than they can at school, School work can easily be done at home in less time.
Breaking Myths of Homeschooling 1. Sure, Some families do not have time for homeschooling but that doesn't mean we should punish everyone and force them into this failing system.
2. Parents could do this but their child could still find a way to reach out to get help, Some schools won't do anything or won't notice. Going to a public school won't guarantee it will get caught.
3. Education and public school sometimes connect but I believe that school and education are often two very different things. Education comes from the Latin root, "educe, " meaning, "to bring out, " so you would get, "to bring out gifts/knowledge, " from education which is not what schools do. Most can teach the basics to their child with little to no issues.
4. Homeschooling does not mean isolation. You would even have more time to go out and meet people based on activities you like to do instead of being confined in the same room by a random chance.
5. Public school systems are already failing and for a lot of people homeschool will work better for them.
