  • Guns don't kill people, People do

Many people think guns are terrible and if we take them away gun violence will be no more, They are wrong. If America banned guns there would be more shootings and more people would die. Blaming a gun for killing someone is like blaming the pen for misspelling, The spoon making you fat, And the car for driving while it's drunk.

  • Without guns there would be more shootings.

The people who are the ones shooting in a shooting get their guns illegally. Taking away guns would disarm people who could possibly stop the shooting. The bad guys would buy more guns illegally and it would be easier for them to kill citizens, Taking away guns makes it very easy for the shooter to kill people. "Its not guns killing people, It's people killing people. "

  • This argument was on the other side and it seemed like it went on this side. THANKS, ME!

Schools by teachers. (USA Today) in all honesty, Every school should follow Indiana’s lead, There is a very low likelihood of a shooter getting very far with that much security in one place. Teachers do not even have to have the guns on their person; they just have to have in the room out of reach of the students but to where he/she can get to it quickly if needed. There are some horrible people out there who would do whatever they can to hurt someone, And arming our teachers would increase the safety of your children and decrease the chances of a shooter of making it anywhere close to your children. It may not be a sure-fire protection guarantee one hundred percent of the time but it is a whole lot better than the cops showing up eight minutes to late. Do you want the gun in a murderer's hand and not in the hand of someone who can protect the future generations of our country, Or do you just not care, You just despise guns that much? Many teachers in this country already own guns at their houses so why not let them have them for a great reason?
In Michigan, There is a silly little law that has increased the rate of murder in that little city. Do you know what that silly little law is? It is a gun ban. In 1929 they started the gun ban and since then the murder rate has skyrocketed. Only 7, 640 people in Chicago have a license to have a gun and every year the police in Chicago seize 7, 400 illegal guns (The Washington Times). With odds like that in one city, We should leave the law-abiding citizens armed so that they can protect themselves against the criminals who are not worried about the gun laws anyway. If criminals were going to fallow the law they would not be criminals, They would be like the rest of us doing legal stuff. Half of America is flummoxed because they are being punished for others screw-ups. Why punish the innocent, What did we do? We pay our taxes we have the right to “keep and bear arms. ”(The U. S. Constitution Bill of Rights Second Amendment) The definition is described as fallowed. Keep-its mine you cannot have it. Bear-I can have it on my person. Arms-this is a tool for hunting food and competing in sport. Any act to take our guns away is going against the U. S. Constitution which is an act of terrorism that is severely punishable to both foreign and domestic. If you argue with this then there.

  • People will not get rid of guns.

Guns don't kill. People do. Also, Knives, Swords, Matches, Trucks, Cars, And many other things people kill others with. Did you know that people get hit by cars? *gasp* OH NO! WE NEED TO GET RID OF CARS! AHHHHHHH! That is not what I think btw. Also, The very last person on the no section said guns were smaller and less dangerous. NOT TRUE! They had rifles and shotguns and other big guns. In 1718, James Puckle invented and patented what was essentially a machine gun. The Puckle gun had a pre-loaded cylinder which held 11 charges and could fire 63 shots in seven minutes. That is a lot of shots. And no. Most guns (if not all) cannot fire 40 bullets under 30 seconds.

  • Guns don't crawl around killing people.

I'm only 12 and yet guns are almost part of me. I have lived with them all my life. It's not fair that people think that guns are bad. The people are bad. Before I wrote this, I was looking through the 'no' section and one person said that guns kill. WHO IN THEIR RIGHT MIND WOULD THINK THAT GUNS CONTROL THEMSELVES? PEOPLE CONTROL GUNS! It just angers me when people say the government should get rid of guns. Only people with mental disorders kill people. And when I said mental disorders, I didn't mean just the people that were born with it. People who have been through hardships when they were young Also think that killing people is OK. I agree that guns are dangerous but people should only be handling guns if they know how to (at least how to put it on safety and shoot it). If people think that guns are too dangerous, They should come to me and get lessons on how to handle it. Guns ARE NOT bad! It's the people who are! My goodness. You people who think banning guns is OK, You really need to come up with better excuses. I gave at least 5 true reasons why guns should be allowed. Maybe I should print this paragraph out and give it to Governor Newsom. He needs to read this badly. One more thing. If This country does get rid of guns, I will be SO SO SO ANGRY!

  • Who is going to take them away?

If we ban guns, Who is going to take them away? The police? With what? Guns? See the side of taking away guns is not very logical. If we ban guns and take them away from people, Don't you think those people with guns won't revolt or if they are crazy, Barricade themselves in their houses? Then when we do take all the guns, You want the government to control all the guns while we have the strongest military in the world? If someone came into power that we didn't like how would we stop them? With tweets saying #banguns? Plus look at the glorification of guns within the media. From rappers to just talking about them on the news. When one guy sees someone shooting up a school with all that attention, Don't you think they would want some attention? All I am saying is if you want a dictator with the world's strongest military and no one to stop him, Go ahead ban guns. Look how good every other country with no guns is doing right now.

  • You can never completely get rid of guns

There will always be someone out there with an illegal gun. The public must be able to protect themselves. The second amendment does not back up outlawing guns but promotes it. The country will never agree easily to outlaw them and the republicans will stand firm. Guns will always be with us whether you like it or not. This is coming from a 12-year-old. If I can come up with this, You guys need to rethink your side.

  • Libtards be whack

They just be kinda whack yo. If you know what i mean then you know what i mean but they just be kinda whack. Like they be doin whack stuff and it be really boof. Like us conservatives be over here doin dank shiz but them libtards be doin whack stuff.

  • Guns don't kill people. People do.

You see, Guns can't shoot themselves. The people that use them are the ones that kill people, Not the gun itself. Besides, The 2nd Amendment protects gun rights and states that the need for a well-regulated militia gives the right of the citizens to keep and bear arms. The National Guard may be one of the best military forces in the world, But it can only do so much. So let's just say that the National Guard isn't here. Who's going to defend America? The police? Probably. But they wouldn't be very effective without the support of the people.

  • Taking Guns away is no the answer.

Taking away guns is not the answer. By taking away guns I won’t be able to enjoy that luxury I have had all my life. My family and I also practice and use our right to bear arms which is the Second Amendment. As a hunter and believer in the Second Amendment to me gun laws are unreasonable.
Gun laws are unreasonable because we have always had the right to bear arms. By taking that away it is basically taking away the humans rights to protect themselves. For those who grew up using guns and other firearms it would be like having a second nature taken away. This would undoubtedly make citizens enraged and/or cause outbreaks in riots. As a gun owner I know it would make me angry. I believe that even though there are incidents with firearms that has caused humans to be hurt that taking guns away isn’t the answer. It isn’t the firearms fault that the person using it used in for the wrong purpose. Hunting is a huge sport and way of life in the United States. My family has enjoyed hunting for many of years. By taking away the guns that hunters use animal populations such as deer, Elk, Moose, Etc. Will grow out of control. Examples of this have happened already throughout the U. S. Along with the overpopulation mountains will be cleared of vegetation and the animals will start to move into cities.
Having gun laws is not the answer. We need to realize how much of a blessing guns are in our world today and how much trouble they can stop from happening to our cities.

  • More guns will do more damage

Guns should not be allowed. If guns kill, More guns won't protect us at all. If America wants to be safe, They need to get rid of guns completely. Some people state that they need guns to protect themselves from other people with guns. It will be a whole lot easier to get rid of them.

  • You should be holding hands not arms.

You should be holding hands and not be armed with guns. Guns are very dangerous and you should not be using them. You should be armed with love, And knowledge rather than armed with first class weapons. Plus 90 percent of guns are used for crime rather than safety. The more crime there are the more people are getting hurt. Guns should definitely not be allowed in very urban places like New York city, Boston, Chicago, LA. This is why guns should not be allowed in america

  • Guns promote killing

The freedom of guns allows anyone to just grab a gun and go out onto the street and kill the first person he sees, The psycopath he is. Is this what America needs? To promote a culture of guns and killing anyone just because you want to? I think not.

  • Look at other countries

Althought we need it for self defense, It's because we are defending against others with guns. If we eliminate guns there is no need for "self defense". So many countries have lower homicides than US because of this. Who gives a fuck about constitutional rights when we are getting killed left, Right and centre.

  • Guns or a terrorist attack?

In this country, the fatalities of firearms are double that of victims of terrorist attacks throughout the world. Thus, a US citizen is more likely to die a victim of a firearm (1 out of 22,000) than a terrorist attack (1 out of 3.5 million). However, the terrorist threat receives much more attention and means than gun control. Why are we looking for a way to avoid terrorist attacks but the threat that implies that people have access to a gun legally that ends with the lives of thousands of people a year is normal?

  • Guns are used 10 times more for crime than self defence

The only good reason why America should have guns is because they can be used by civilians for self defense. But guns are used 10 times more to commit crimes than they are in self defence, so it's ABSOLUTELY useless to have guns in America if you want to save lifes. America should not have guns.

  • Why are guns necessary?

Guns shouldn't be allowed at all. You guys saying that we should be carrying them around to protect ourselves. First of all, if we need to protect ourselves we need to protect ourselves from guns. And instead of making the problem worst by allowing guns we should just get rid of guns. Second of all, innocent lives are being taken away because of guns. I am scared to go to school in fear of terrible things happening because of guns. And no teachers shouldn't be allowed to own guns either because that makes the situation worst. What if the teacher was mentally sick or what if the student is able to get the gun. There are more cons than pros that would happen if a teacher were armed. Third of all, why are guns needed? If you say that they are needed for hunting, there are other easier and less harmful ways to hunt an animal. And guns don't represent America in no way. Do you see people wearing the American flag every day? No! So why should we even carry a gun around? There is no point other than it causing harm. Fouth of all, the constitution. Yes, I know that the constitution is not easy to change (I'm not dumb like those who support gun violence) but I'm pretty sure that if the constitution has been changed 19 times, it can be changed one more time. Fifth yea people already have guns and it going to be hard to get rid of but why to increase the rate of the people who own guns. Sixth , you wonder why terrorist attacks happen. Yea, not every terrorist attack include guns but every time there is a mass shooting, there is always somehow a probability of it being a terrorist attack. Seventh, it's funny how most of the time, it is always a big deal when a person other than caucasian people is apart of a mass shooting. Most Americans blame it on their race. When does the color, culture, gender, or religion of someone affect the fact that there are apart of a mass shooting? Oh but it's not published everywhere and talked about every day when a Caucasian person is part of a shooting. It is not only the fault of whoever caused the shooting but it is the fault of those who allowed shootings.

  • People are dumb

The second amendment backs me up so don't even argue.
Schools should require all teachers, and all school officials to carry and be trained to use guns. The number of school shootings would decrease exponentially. In Indiana, schools have required the carry of guns in schools by teachers.(USA Today) in all honesty, every school should fallow Indiana’s lead, there is a very low likelihood of a shooter getting very far with that much security in one place. Teachers do not even have to have the guns on their person; they just have to have in the room out of reach of the students but to where he/she can get to it quickly if needed. • To live or to die?

People can get hurt easily with guns. Yes people want to protect their family's and loved ones, but there are people out there who wants a gun to look cool or for fun. People don't care about others especially if they don't know them. There are people who want to protect others and there are those who just want to hurt or even kill others.

  • Less guns Less death?

Guns are a big problem in society today. When the Constitution was written the guns were much smaller and less dangerous than now where you can fire about 40 bullets in under 30 seconds. They are a danger to people even to the person carrying them. Plus we should use the example from other countries with lower gun death.
